Boise trip

We took the kids out of school for almost a whole week and went to Boise for a couple of reasons. Josh and my brother Troy were going to this motivational speaker thing on Tuesday morning, and Josh's cousin Sean came home from his mission and his homecoming was on Sunday, the time in between there was left for Josh to look for an internship that he needs to graduate and to play with cousins. We stayed at my brother and sister in laws house (Troy and Ann). On Tuesday when the boys went to their speaker thing, we took the kids to Morrison-Knuedson Park. They have a nature walk you can walk around and see geese and fish and flowers and beavers. The kids thought it was fun and the only thing we really saw were fish and geese building nests.
Bailey, Makenzie, Rylee, Hannah, Brody, and Spencer walking behind Makenzie. Pretending to be owls.

One of the look outs for the fish. Kaitlyn, Nyah, Hannah, Spencer, Rylee, Brody, Makenzie, and Bailey. The gang.

After we got done, we walked to the park right next to it and had lunch and played on the toys. Spencer thought these dinosaurs were pretty cool.

Kaitlyn and Spencer found a squirrel that was trying to eat the food by the tables and decided to chase him back up his tree. Spencer would chase it up the tree and then run around the base of the tree trying to find it, it would eventually sneak back down only to get chased again. He was not a very fast runner because Kaitlyn almost grabbed its tail. They chased him away from the trees so he had to take cover under a car.

Tuesday was the nicest day we had while we were there and Troy and Ann had fixed the pool up to go swimming. It was only in the 70's but the kids thought it was warm enough to go swimming. The heater wasn't turning on for some reason so the pool was only 60 degrees. Not warm enough for me but the kids all got in. Some only put their toes in and others got in and swam around till they were frozen.

I wish that I had pictures for the rest of the week but my camera died after this shot. Just know that we played a lot, watched movies, saw some good friends, went to aunts and uncles houses and had a lot of fun. Thanks Troy and Ann for the place to stay and good times.
