Last part

I thought I would have a whole week to get everything put back together and get ready for school, but because our vacation turned into working too, we only had a couple days. We did it, it was a crazy couple of days but we made it. School started on the 27th for us this year.
All ready to go.  Man they have gotten so big.
Right before they all left to go to their classes.  I asked Makenzie and Hannah if I could walk with them to their class and get a picture and they both said "no way".  Kaitlyn wasn't thrilled that I took her to her class either but at least I didn't make her go inside and take a picture with her teacher.
Makenzie is 11 and in 6th grade.  Her teacher this year is Mrs. Chaffin.
Hannah is 8 and in 3rd grade.  Her teacher this year is Mrs. Crofoot.
Kaitlyn is 6 and in 1st grade.  Her teacher is Mrs. Tubbs.
Spencer missed the deadline by 9 days so he gets to hang out with me for one more year.
He thinks it is pretty boring for the most part we have played every single game in our house at least twice and laundry is not his favorite, but he has loved helping me cook.  He thinks he is pretty cool because he can cook his own spaghetti O's.  I will have to get pretty creative to keep him busy this year so he will stop asking me every 5 minutes when is it time to pick up his sisters.  We are hoping for a good year.

Part 4

Camp for the rest of the week. Beautiful place for us to stay at, the kids had a lot of fun exploring in the woods.  This was an extended family reunion that we went to.  It was a lot of fun connecting with some of my cousins that I have not seen for more than five years.  I am so glad we made this trip happen not only to create fun memories for my kids but also for Josh and I.  And yes we did eat most of the fish and crabs that the guys caught.  Lucky me:)
This was an old school house and the kids loved to go in and play.
Inside the school.
This is a cool picture of a stump and then a tree growing on top.
This was one of the trails that was right behind our camp.
The kids loved to play over here, there was also a tree that was hollowed out that the kids would crawl through.
Cousins
On one of the trails.  We only had two down days on our trip and they were spent doing this.  We also had a really big slip n slide set up and the kids loved that.
We also spent half a day at Seaside playing on the beach and walking around seeing the streets and shops.  We went to a candy shop, had more Tillamook ice cream and enjoyed the views.  I do have to say while at the beach the hottest it ever got was about 75 degrees and everyone was in swimsuits suntanning.  CRAZY, you would never catch me in my swim suit in that weather.  We also went to the Portland Temple grounds and it was Beautiful as always.  We also went shopping at the Woodburn Outlets, you could spend all day there.  After all the fun family events we headed over to Moses Lake, Washington so Josh could work.  We stayed at the Holiday Express and let me tell you what after a week of camping that was Heaven for us.  We ordered in Pizza and the kids swam until we had to check out.  Lots and lots of driving but I would do it all over again we packed as much as we could see in our week.

Part 3

We had to stop at Tillamook Cheese to remind Josh of his days working at the cheese factory. We took a little tour of their plant and saw how they packaged their cheese we also got samples of cheese and you can't leave without eating some of their delicious Ice cream.
Us
Cousins
Astoria Column and yes we did climb the 152 the stairs to the top to see the view.
Beautiful view
Josh, Makenzie, Nyah, and Hannah
This is Hug Point at Cannon Beach.  This by far was my favorite beach.  You have to go when the tide is out so you can get to all the caves and go around the rock.
Being silly in the cave.
Back in the day before they made the Highway the travelers had to wait for the tide to be out in order to get around this certain point.  This was the road they would travel on.  Kinda cool.
Walking back around
Inside one of the caves.
Silly pictures, Josh.
Makenzie
Hannah
Cousins, as a side note Spencer gets car sick and anyone who has been to Oregon knows the roads are anything but straight there.  He was on Dramamine the entire trip so if he wasn't asleep he was grumpy because we pulled him out of the car to go explore.  Poor boy he did have fun but some of these pictures show just how miserable he was.
Troy, Ann, Josh, and Kaylin
Our family, we loved this place, so many places to explore and look at.  Also inside these caves the walls were covered with weird bugs and some sort of crusteation.  It was interesting.

August Part 2

After we left Josh's family we met up with my brother Troy and his wife Ann and their family at Newport Beach. Of all the times we spent at the Beach this was by far the coldest and windiest day. Troy and Ann spent a couple hours on this Beach but by the time we got there we maybe spent an hour.
Finally our feet in the sand.

After about an hour we headed over to The Hatfield Marine Science Center.  It was pretty cool the kids were allowed to touch the different things and see all kinds of fish.  There was even a blue Star fish in with all the other pink, orange, and purple.  It was pretty cool.

The kids, Makenzie, Kaitlyn, Nyah, Rylee, Hannah, Bailey, Brody, and Spencer.

More things and creatures to touch.
Kaitlyn and Rylee, if you held your hand still on this one it would wrap around your finger.
This fish only had one eye it was kind of creepy looking.
Newport Bridge
The kids had a table to them selves at Moe's.  It was good, Josh had the fried Cod, fried clams, and fried oysters, with clam soup.  I do not like fish and chose to go with Chicken strips and a side salad that came covered in baby shrimp.  This started us off with eating fish for the rest of the week.  Like I said I have tried fish several times and do not like it but I did try every fish that we had that week.

Tuesday morning all of the guys from my side of the family including uncles and cousins went deep sea fishing.  This is the boat they chartered.  They left at 5 in the morning and came back in at about 1:30.  They were taking bets on who would be feeding the fish and Josh was on the list twice.  They caught about 80 fish and about 20 crabs.  They had a fun time, something Josh will never forget.

Crab Traps
After the guys came in we met them at the port and the kids found these two.
While the boys were out to sea this is what we did.  We went to Rockaway Beach and played for 3 hours or so.  It was one of the nicer days we had and the kids loved it.
Proof that Ann and I were actually on this trip even if I have to take my own pictures.
What do we do with 9 kids after hours at the beach? We bury them of course.  We could say they were bad and this was there time out.

And make them look like they are picking their head off the ground.
Bailey and Makenzie with beautiful beach houses behind them.
Hannah, Brody, and Kaitlyn we loved the beach days.
