August Part 2

After we left Josh's family we met up with my brother Troy and his wife Ann and their family at Newport Beach. Of all the times we spent at the Beach this was by far the coldest and windiest day. Troy and Ann spent a couple hours on this Beach but by the time we got there we maybe spent an hour.
Finally our feet in the sand.

After about an hour we headed over to The Hatfield Marine Science Center.  It was pretty cool the kids were allowed to touch the different things and see all kinds of fish.  There was even a blue Star fish in with all the other pink, orange, and purple.  It was pretty cool.

The kids, Makenzie, Kaitlyn, Nyah, Rylee, Hannah, Bailey, Brody, and Spencer.

More things and creatures to touch.
Kaitlyn and Rylee, if you held your hand still on this one it would wrap around your finger.
This fish only had one eye it was kind of creepy looking.
Newport Bridge
The kids had a table to them selves at Moe's.  It was good, Josh had the fried Cod, fried clams, and fried oysters, with clam soup.  I do not like fish and chose to go with Chicken strips and a side salad that came covered in baby shrimp.  This started us off with eating fish for the rest of the week.  Like I said I have tried fish several times and do not like it but I did try every fish that we had that week.

Tuesday morning all of the guys from my side of the family including uncles and cousins went deep sea fishing.  This is the boat they chartered.  They left at 5 in the morning and came back in at about 1:30.  They were taking bets on who would be feeding the fish and Josh was on the list twice.  They caught about 80 fish and about 20 crabs.  They had a fun time, something Josh will never forget.

Crab Traps
After the guys came in we met them at the port and the kids found these two.
While the boys were out to sea this is what we did.  We went to Rockaway Beach and played for 3 hours or so.  It was one of the nicer days we had and the kids loved it.
Proof that Ann and I were actually on this trip even if I have to take my own pictures.
What do we do with 9 kids after hours at the beach? We bury them of course.  We could say they were bad and this was there time out.

And make them look like they are picking their head off the ground.
Bailey and Makenzie with beautiful beach houses behind them.
Hannah, Brody, and Kaitlyn we loved the beach days.
