August Part 1

We started off the month watching the Olympics and decided to have our own Family Home evening Olympics.

Kaitlyn target shooting.

Makenzie shooting don't worry it was just an air soft gun.

Then moved onto relay racing.

High Jump, Makenzie did pretty good.

Then came the Javelin toss, Who do you think won?  Yep Josh. There were a couple more games in there but no pictures. The kids thought it was a pretty fun night and its nice to do something different.
We went have been planning a trip to Oregon for over a year and it finally happened. We were only going to be gone for 7 days originally but it turned into a 13 day trip before we got home. We had a blast and if you ask my kids how many hours were spent in the car they will tell you exactly 54 hours from the time we left until the time we got home. That is a long time to be in the car and my oil service that was done right before the trip is ready to be done again. The original plan was to leave on a Friday night after Josh was done with work and drive to my parents house and spend the night, but Josh changed the plan and had to be in Canada for work that week. I decided to leave when he left and spend more time at my parents and then I would drive to Oregon and pick him up at the airport there. The first half of our trip was spent with Josh's family and the last half with my family.

Multnomah Falls with out Josh and after driving 7 hours.

Mt. Hood with the whole gang (except Casey and Amber's family) and supper sunny.
Just getting to Mt. Hood.

On the way up the ski lift.
Made it to the top well almost the top.
On top of Mt. Hood (notice Spencer is making a silly face in every single picture I have of him).  Wonder where he gets that from?
I love 4 generation pictures.  This is Josh and Spencer with his dad and Bestapapa (Norwegian for grandpa).
All of us with Bestamama and Bestapapa.  Love Spencer and his faces.
Great grandkids with Great Bestamama and Bestapapa he is 93.  We camped the entire trip it didn't start out that way in our plans but that's what ended up happening.  We also went to a cool park and played tag on the toys.

We had a blast with Josh's family one I hope my kids will never forget.
