I decided to go to my parents house for spring break since Josh had so much school gearing up for his finals. We headed out on Sunday and did not come home till the next Sunday. We had a lot of fun, played with cousins, sewed skirts for all the granddaughters and ties for the grandsons. I made some jewlery. My dad came up and picked up Josh on Friday and brought him back to be a part of conference and Easter happenings. All in all it was nice to get away for awhile. Thanks mom and dad for the fun times.
Can you say accident waiting to happen. The kids love to get their grandpa to take them for rides on his four wheeler and sometimes they dont think they can take turns so why not pile everyone on. My dad is more then willing to take them on rides. If you cant tell how many are on there, there are twelve grandkids and one grandpa.
Hannah also lost her first tooth while we were away and the tooth fairy had to make its appearance all the way at my moms house she was worried the tooth fairy would not find her since we were not at home.
We also played with my moms parachute. Tons of games to play with that thing.
While the boys were gone for priesthood session of conference my sister in law had the kids pretending they were raindrops falling from the sky and landing with a splat on the ground. We were all laughing so hard.

They are on a hunt for all the eggs. When we did our egg hunt the wind was blowing outside and was too cold to hide the eggs outside.
The kids put on a play for us Snow white and the seven dwarfs.
Makenzie got her dirt and worms before she got her hamburger. This was her first course, a drink, a tomato, and desert.
On April fools day we played a trick on the kids. When I grew up this was a fun tradition for us. We set up their plates, cups and utensils in crazy things from the kitchen and made a menu up for the kids that they got to order three things at a time. Like: Greasy grimy gopher guts = Hamburger, Slimy slugs = Pickle, dirt and worms = chocolate pudding and gummy worms, snail shells = pasta salad. You get the picture they got to order three at a time so no one knew which order you would get your food. The kids thought it was so funny and they loved eating with weird things and on weird plates.
My mom and I had made some rice crispy treats in the shape of an egg and the kids dipped them in frosting and sprinkles.
Spencer loves to be outside and loves to "jump jump" as he says.
This is one of the kids favorite places to play at my parents house my mom set up this area kind of like a secret garden with the tree swings and picnic table back there. In the summer time it is covered with the grape vines and all the green around it is beautiful. The kids like to find all the sticks they can to make a fire and roast marshmallows.
They had these cute little chicks that were colored orange, blue, and I dont remember what the third color was. If you found an egg that said you could take one home with you then you could. Hannah found one egg that said she could have the orange chick if it was ok with the parents but this mom said sorry go find someone else to give it to.

A couple weeks ago the Sayre families got together and had an Easter egg hunt at my mother in laws coworkers house. She had a ton of eggs for the kids to find and prizes to take home, she fed everyone hot dogs, chips, drinks, and cupcakes. My kids had a lot of fun.
